All lessons include the use of a suitable shotgun (if necessary), personal safety equipment and insurance. In addition to your tuition fee there is a charge for clays and cartridges.

Clays / Cartridges

A beginner would typicaly use between 25-50 cartridges and clays in a 2 hour introductory lesson. Certificate holders are welcome to bring their own cartridges -fibre/felt wads only please.

  • Clay targets - £8.00 per 25
  • Cartridges - £7.50 per 25 (12 gauge)
  • Cartridges - £9.50 per 25 (20 gauge)


Private Group Use

The South Pennine Shooting Schools facilities are available for teams of experienced guns wishing to have private use for practice or private competition.

Tailored packages are available:-

  • Sporting Targets
  • Simulated Game

  • Individual/Team Flushes

  • Minimum 75 clays per person
  • Minimum of 8 shooters
  • Cost from £30.00 per person

Shooters are welcome to bring their own cartridges or they can purchased them on site
