South Pennine Shooting School is to be found on a 70 acre farm in the heart of the South Pennines, ideally situated in a sheltered spot next to a local grouse moor.
Natural features within the landscape have been employed to full affect - creating a number of shooting positions with a large variety of target presentations suitable for all abilities.
Utilising part of an old stone barn next to the farm house, a clubhouse/training room has been created, with somewhat of a rustic charm it fulfills its purpose admirably. A wood burning stove nestles in one corner and is a welcome comfort on a cold winter’s day. There are toilet facilities and a small kitchen where refreshments can be prepared.
The school was established specifically to offer a truly unique opportunity to those wanting to learn or improve their shotgun skills. Being a relatively small concern, South Pennine Shooting School has an advantages over larger commercial enterprises.
More often than not you will find yourselves having exclusive use of all facilities and the undivided attention of your instructor. This “ideal” learning environment allows for a relaxed and dynamic lesson structure, able to respond to the varying needs of each client.
